Ep. 16: Yawara Debuts at the National Martial Arts Tournament Amidst Team Crisis

With the national tournament approaching, Sayaka insults Yuki Tohdoh in the waiting room. Yawara arrives late after coaching judo club members, with Sudoh transporting her by bicycle and promising to stop using judo in fights. Sudoh is subsequently beaten by hoodlums who misunderstand his interactions with their girlfriends, leaving him unable to compete. To avoid a default loss, Hanazono removes the cast from his half-healed leg to substitute for Sudoh. Matsuda delivers Yawara’s taped coaching tips to the team. In the preliminaries, Yawara, Yuki, and Sayaka each secure easy victories in their two matches.
