Ep. 98: Sayaka announces training while Jigoro enters Fujiko for the All Japan Judo Championship
Sayaka appears on Sports Spirits to claim she trains under an unnamed top coach, mocking Tsurukame as a third-rate agency. Yawara walks away unnoticed after hearing rumors of a major match against Sayaka. Coach Yuutenji registers Fujiko in the open-weight All Japan Judo Championship, allowing her to face anyone, including Yawara. Hanazono trains intensely due to feelings of inadequacy. Matsuda recognizes Jigoro’s manipulative strategy of pitting fighters against each other for sport, though Jigoro claims indifference to all else. Later, Shinnosuke takes Yawara to an expensive dinner despite being late and previously seen with Sayaka. Yawara accepts his excuses without question, believing he is wonderful. Shinnosuke views this as an opportunity to advance their relationship and kisses her at her door, unaware she remains oblivious to his womanizing nature and lies.
