Jigoro and Matsuda fail to locate Yawara and encounter a suspicious Shinnosuke outside the Inokuma residence. Shinnosuke falsely claims he advised her to skip the tournament, but Hagoromo, a fan of Yawara and Matsuda’s writing, reveals she is in Hokkaido. Hagoromo hopes Yawara will qualify for All Japan, risking his career and the 20 billion yen Kato Chu deal. He also instructs Yawara to leave work for the All Japan event because she cannot stand Sayaka.
