Yawara waits over an hour for Shinnosuke, who fails to appear for their promised dinner. Instead, he is trapped by Sayaka, who has arrived at his door after rejecting other callers. Matsuda shows up for Yawara, but she ignores him, trapped in a misunderstanding that he only seeks journalistic scoops. Their silent standoff is interrupted when Sayaka hijacks the Sports Spirits broadcast, using multiple screens to publicly challenge Yawara to a match at the upcoming All Japan Judo Championship.
