Meanwhile, Akira suffers from insomnia and meets Kou at midnight. She invites him to join her and Nazuna, leading the trio to play games at Nazuna's home. Akira feels uneasy witnessing Kou's closeness with Nazuna, particularly when Nazuna teases Kou and drinks his blood in her presence. Kou admits his wish to become a vampire, and Akira supports this decision despite urging him to attend school. That night, the three share a futon awkwardly, and Akira eventually falls asleep peacefully. In the morning, Nazuna observes that people sleep best when satisfied with their day.
