Ep. 4: Onoda and Naruko pursue a car after an incident involving a cigarette butt.

Following the rear slope race, Onoda returns to Akiba to purchase anime merchandise. He encounters Naruko Shoukichi, a boy from Osaka with a Kansai accent who is riding a bicycle. Naruko explains that his family relocated for work, making this his first time visiting Osaka. Onoda buys gifts for Naruko's younger siblings, and the two form a friendship. Their interaction is interrupted when a passing car throws a cigarette butt at Onoda's bike. Enraged by this disrespect, Naruko convinces Onoda to chase the vehicle. Equipped with a new front derailleur provided by Miki, the pair hopes their improved bicycles will allow them to catch up to the car responsible for the incident.
