Driven by intense hatred for Hakone, Machimiya physically attacks Arakita and attempts to surge ahead in the race. However, Arakita, Onoda, and Manami manage to catch up once again. During this pursuit, Arakita reflects on his journey to becoming an ace sprinter for Hakone and recalls his past similarities to Machimiya. He shares these personal details with his rival. Machimiya eventually recognizes that Arakita’s determination is stronger than his own and realizes Arakita will not withdraw from the competition. This confrontation marks the beginning of the final battle between the two sprint teams.
