The group returns to modern Egypt and reunites with Marik, Ishizu, Odion, and the liberated Bakura. Atem intends to seal the seven Millennium Items and himself away, but a ritual requires a victor in a duel to authorize this. While Kaiba and Joey offer to fight, Yugi accepts the duty. The match is scheduled for the following day, prompting both Pharaoh Atem and Yugi to prepare their strongest decks for the confrontation.
