Blair Flannigan, a new transfer student, joins the Slifer dorm. Jaden observes that Blair resembles a girl and seems interested in Zane. He confronts Blair, accidentally removing her hat to reveal she is female. They duel to understand each other better, where Blair attempts to control Jaden's Monsters. Jaden wins the match, and Blair fears he will expose her secret, but he promises silence. Zane arrives, and Blair confesses her crush on him, admitting she is only in fifth grade. The following day, she departs the Academy, vowing to return when older, though her affection has shifted to Jaden.
