An announcement reveals an upcoming interschool duel-off where a student from central Duel Academy will face a representative from North Academy. Chancellor Sheppard, Crowler, and other faculty members debate whether Jaden or Bastion should serve as the school's champion. To resolve the dispute, they organize a match between the two students, stipulating that the victor will duel the opponent. Bastion promptly constructs a new deck designed specifically to counter Jaden's Elemental Heroes. The following day, the duel commences. Bastion employs a strategy that effectively blocks Jaden's Polymerization, which neutralizes his most powerful monsters and gives him a significant advantage in the match.
