Jaden oversleeps and arrives late for an exam, prompting Chazz to question how a slacker defeated Crowler. The two engage in another duel, but Chazz now utilizes a collection of new rare and powerful cards provided by Crowler. Jaden counters with a new card called Transcendent Wings, which allows him to evolve his Winged Kuriboh into the formidable Winged Kuriboh Level 10. This transformation enables Jaden to secure victory in the match. Although he earns the right to promote to Ra Yellow, Jaden declines the offer. He chooses to remain in Slifer Red, a decision that brings happiness to Syrus.
