Syrus informs Jaden that a student is challenging peers and confiscating their Duel Disks. After losing his own device, Jaden confronts the culprit at a forest bridge. The antagonist is Tyranno Hassleberry, a new Ra Yellow student who passed exams but was placed in Ra Yellow instead of Obelisk Blue. To demonstrate his strength, Hassleberry formed a group of followers and stole the disks. Jaden battles him using a Dinosaur deck strategy. Through the match, Jaden proves that relying on a single tactic causes allies to lose interest. Jaden defeats Hassleberry with his new fusion monster, Wildwingman. Consequently, Hassleberry returns the stolen items to their owners and chooses to reside in the Slifer dorm to learn dueling skills from Jaden.
