Chazz challenges Jaden to a duel to boost his morale, but Jaden refuses. Sartorius’s scheme fails because Jaden only loses the ability to see cards instead of his soul. Believing he needs a new vessel, Sartorius arrives at Duel Academy and claims to be Aster’s manager seeking clients. He encounters Chazz in the forest and defeats him in a duel. Sartorius then traps Chazz’s soul in The Hangman tarot card before leaving the island. Jaden departs by boat, vowing not to return until he discovers his destiny. The next morning, Chazz is found wandering the dorm in white clothing, claiming he has seen the light.
