Sheppard returns to Duel Academy to announce the start of the GX Tournament, where students and Pro Duelists compete for the top rank by collecting medals. The participant with the most medals wins. Meanwhile, Sartorius orchestrates a duel against Pro-League duelist Prince Ojin. He lures the prince to the tournament by claiming to possess the Destiny Hero cards. Upon Ojin's arrival, the two engage in a match. Sartorius defeats his opponent in 0 turns, subsequently gaining control of a satellite that Ojin owned. This event occurs as the broader tournament competition begins among the students.
