Ep. 3: Sherlock deduces the Lord of Crime protects Adler while Albert reveals his connection to Sherrinford Holmes.
Sherlock meets a masked Albert to retrieve documents, offering to spare Adler if he remains alive. Albert provides an envelope containing James Moriaty’s name as insurance. He then takes Adler to William, where she learns the Lord of Crime is an organization. Mycroft meets Albert, who reveals Maximilien Robespierre was a British agent. Due to the scandal, Mycroft allows William to continue societal reforms. William suspects Mycroft’s motives, leading Mycroft to admit he avoids humiliation because Robespierre’s real name was Sherrinford Holmes, his ancestor. Adler appears dead, but Sherlock receives a signal from her, knowing she faked it. He burns the envelope without reading it. Adler is shown living as James Bonde under William’s guidance.
