The aftermath of the bombing reveals minor injuries and no deaths, though Lisa returns home shaken. Her mother, unaware of the danger, berates Lisa for ignoring texts and reveals that Lisa's father has abandoned the family. Meanwhile, Nine and Twelve return to their residence to construct a cellphone bomb. Police gather for a briefing after noticing a viral video, prompting the bombers to release a second video containing a riddle from Oedipus Rex about their next target. Police initially suspect a DNA laboratory based on the riddle, but Shibazaki suggests an alternative interpretation to Chief Kurahashi, pointing to a police district office. The bomb detonates at the district office as predicted. Kurahashi then recruits Shibazaki for the case and privately discloses the theft of plutonium, suspecting a link to the bombers. Finally, Lisa follows Twelve, who threatens to kill her if she exposes their secret.
