Louise and Saito are dispatched by Princess Henrietta to sabotage South Gotha using Void magic, but Saito hesitates due to Colbert’s warnings. When Louise fails to cast her spell, their Zero Fighter is shot down in a snowstorm, forcing a mission abort. The Queen deploys the army while the pair survives in a snow cave, where Louise saves Saiton from hypothermia by sharing body heat, an event he forgets. They encounter Henry Stalford, a young soldier who abandoned his engagement. Saito advises Henry to prioritize love over honor, leading Henry to return to his troops without revealing the fugitives' location. The duo is eventually rescued by Julio on his dragon, while Henry hopes for a future reunion.
