Wales, presumed dead, reappears and kidnaps Henrietta to Albion, leveraging an old vow to persuade her compliance. The Musketeer Force pursues him but is repelled by his magic. Saito and Louise pursue the pair using the Zero Fighter, with Kirche and Tabitha in support. The group confronts Wales at Lagdorian Lake as he merges his power with Henrietta’s magic, though she refuses to abandon him. It is revealed that Wales has been revived and controlled by Cromwell’s Ring of Andavari. Louise defeats him using a Dispel spell, breaking the ring’s influence. Freed from control, Wales asks Henrietta to vow to move on and find love elsewhere before dying once more.
