Eléonore forces Louise, Saito, and Siesta to return to the Vallière mansion, where Louise is announced as engaged to a duke. Louise attempts to prove she is no longer the "Zero" but cannot disclose her Void abilities. She searches for Saito, enters his room, and kisses Siesta, mistaking her for him. Saito visits at night but is beaten by Eléonore instead. After Louise’s father forbids her from joining the war, she flees to a children's boat. Cattleya persuades Saito to remain with Louise. Saito finds Louise, confesses his feelings, and kisses her. He fights his way out of the residence, returning to school with Louise. She disbelieves his account and beats him again, while Siesta convinces herself she is Saito's only true love.
