Saito wakes from a dream where he returned to Japan without Louise, realizing its emptiness. He embraces Louise, who is embarrassed but grateful he stayed. She gifts him magical glasses that blink when he looks at other girls, punishing him for minor infractions. While watching Queen Henrietta’s parade, the glasses activate, causing Louise to overreact and leading to Saito’s arrest as a suspected assassin. Agnès blocks Louise’s attempts to help. Henrietta visits Saito, revealing Cromwell’s death and asking for his trust and legendary power. She releases Louise, who cries with relief. Agnès informs them that future royal messages will use the code name "Zero" and warns Saito about his behavior. Back home, Louise demands an explanation and resumes her harsh treatment. The next morning, Agnès finds Louise holding a crop over a beaten Saito, then announces that Henrietta has been kidnapped.
