Van encounters Raven and his Genosaur while returning to the palace to assist Moonbay and others. The intense fight initially favors Raven, but Van channels energy into the damaged Blade Liger. Meanwhile, Irvine, Rudolph, Moonbay, and Prime Minister Homalef depart the palace using a Saber Fang, Command Wolf, and Gustav. Rosso and the Sword of Storms arrive, capturing Rudolph and transporting him to the Imperial Capital. Van destroys the Genosaur's external guns, leaving only his single blade against Raven's charged particle gun. Zeek and Fiona fuse with the Liger, restoring it to 100% condition. Van uses the Blade Liger's electron-emitting blades to neutralize the charged particle gun, ultimately defeating Raven.
