Van pilots the Blade Liger at peak performance while Thomas and Van uncover a plot to assassinate Emperor Rudolph at the Guylos Grand Prix. Generals loyal to Prozen hired Phantom, a notorious assassin who never fails, to execute this mission. The Grand Prix draws widespread attention from Planet Zi. Moonbay, also known as the Red Fireball, returns to the competition, defeating all opponents except for Masquerade. Meanwhile, Phantom positions himself at the harbor with his stealth Gun Sniper, preparing to take a shot at the Emperor from the sea, a threat unknown to Van.
