Following a previous defeat, the team recruits Colonel Halford, a former colleague of Major Dan Flyheight who is arrogant yet highly skilled. Halford analyzes the Geno Breaker’s mechanics, noting a 1:05 second recharge window after the first Particle Beam and a 5.33 second charge time. The strategy focuses on disabling the mech’s foot locks to prevent firing. However, Halford overlooks that the Geno Breaker can launch attacks from the air using rear thrusters, eliminating recoil issues. To prepare for this enhanced mobility, Thomas, Irvine, and Van engage in repetitive physical exercises to improve their combat readiness against the specialized enemy.
