Natori invites Natsume to a hot spring trip, but strange noises from a closet and a figure in a kimono hanging from the ceiling cause Natsume unease. Not wanting to ruin Natori's kind gesture, Natsume decides to investigate the disturbances alone. During the night, he encounters a Youkai who comments that he is too soft and subsequently attacks him. This incident occurs while Natsume is staying at the hot spring location with Natori, highlighting the supernatural threats present in the area despite the relaxing setting.
