An elderly man from Japan visits a graveyard in modern-day Israel, placing flowers on the grave of Adolf Kamil. He recalls the intertwined lives of three men named Adolf—Kamil, a Jewish man raised in Kobe by a baker; Kaufmann, the son of a German consul and his Japanese wife in the same city; and the leader of Nazi Germany, with whom Japan had a complex relationship. The story reflects on their fates and connections. The work received the 10th Kodansha Manga Award in the general manga category in 1986.
