Yuriko, a 35-year-old unmarried woman, balances work and caring for her disabled father in a quiet rural life. She faces indifference at the kindergarten where she teaches and little respect at home. Marriage is not on her mind, as she expects to remain in her uneventful existence. However, a minor car accident changes things when the other driver, Sosuke, demands she forget about the incident in exchange for a sexual favor. She reluctantly agrees, only to discover he is the father of one of her students. Adding to the complication is Takumi, the kindergarten’s young and brash director, who enters the situation. Yuriko, who had long abandoned any hope for love, finds herself entangled in an awkward romantic triangle.
