Ruri is constantly stuck with Asahi, a popular childhood friend who is unaware of Ruri’s frustration. Asahi’s widespread appeal causes Ruri to face resentment from Asahi’s admirers. When Asahi is taken to another world as its “Priestess Princess,” Ruri is forced to accompany her and is falsely accused of betrayal, resulting in her exile to the wilderness. Now removed from Asahi’s presence, Ruri sees the new world as an opportunity to start over.
