Nichiko, 34, leaves her solitary life in Tokyo to return to her secluded island hometown for her dying father. There, she encounters Chimaki, a lively young man who reawakens emotions she thought she had abandoned. While Chimaki appears cheerful and devoted to helping others, his intense drive to save people and animals may mask a painful history.
