Messengers are responsible for the care and protection of their assigned gods and must have functional wings to perform their duties. Shin, whose wings are too small to allow flight, is mocked and excluded from service. He is finally given a god to care for, a small, fluffy creature living on a nearby mountain. At first, the task appears simple, as the god is gentle and affectionate. However, messengers who have flown near the mountain have recently gone missing, raising concerns about the god's true nature. Despite growing doubts, Shin struggles to believe his charge could be dangerous. The deity also feels strangely familiar to him, though the reason remains unclear.
