Kimi ga Shiro to Itta Kara

During the summer, the narrator was a junior high school student caught between two realities. One morning, they awoke in an unfamiliar world known as "Itoigawa summer." The first encounter was with a man who had a prosthetic leg and a square face. This man explained that during the summer, the "inner" world had somehow merged with or been replaced by this other world referred to as "egg." The setting involves a language barrier, as the world the narrator finds themselves in does not use spoken language.
