Liao Zhai: Shaonian You

Young Xiao Pu is locally celebrated for his scholarly gifts, while Lang Shisan, a roving merchant, combines martial skill with learning and a carefree, dashing air. The two meet at the Zichuan County magistrate's office just as the residence falls victim to a haunting. One studious and composed, the other martial and energetic, they offset each other's shortcomings and unexpectedly crack the case. Inspired by his companion afterward, Xiao Pu resolves to travel alongside Lang Shisan, and together they confront demons and wrongdoing. Drawing on classic Strange Tales source material, the story also follows how young women navigate love, family, and friendship.
