A quiet high school student named Kazuo discovers a box of stray kittens and meets Kitahara, a reclusive elementary student. Though Kitahara appears distant, Kazuo is drawn to him. After taking in one of the kittens, Kazuo tries to connect with Kitahara. Their friendship begins to shift into something more meaningful. Kazuo wonders if this is love and whether Kitahara feels the same.
