In 1920s England, a professor specializing in undeciphered scripts and cryptographic systems forms an unexpected partnership with his son. The father, a respected academic, spends his time analyzing ancient texts and developing ciphers. The son, recently released from prison, has no formal education but is highly skilled with firearms and operates outside the law. Despite their contrasting lives and personalities, the two begin collaborating, bridging the gap between their worlds.
