Tsukasa Mizugaki, an 18-year-old who failed his college entrance exams, secures a position at Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation through connections. The company produces Giftias, androids nearly identical to humans but with a fixed lifespan of approximately nine years and four months. Terminal Service One, where Tsukasa is placed, handles the retrieval of expired Giftias before they lose their memories and turn aggressive. He is paired with Isla, an experienced and highly skilled Giftia known for her calm demeanor despite her small stature. As their time together progresses, Tsukasa faces the challenge of managing his growing emotions for Isla before her time runs out.
