Apr 5, 2015On his first day at Terminal Service No. 1 within SAI Corp, Tsukasa Mizugaki learns about Giftia operations. Trainer Kazuki Kuwanomi failed to assign him a partner, so colleagues elect Isla, whom Tsukasa met in an elevator, to assist him. Accompanied by trainer Michiru Kinushima and her partner Zack, Tsukasa and Isla attempt to collect expired Giftia as legally required. Isla struggles during an initial assignment, causing difficulties for the team. They are subsequently tasked with retrieving Nina, a child-type Giftia belonging to an elderly woman named Chizu. After repeated failures to persuade Chizu, Nina expresses her desire to be collected. Chizu acknowledges her oversight regarding Nina's feelings and permits the retrieval, thanking the team before Nina is taken to Terminal Service for the end of her lifespan.

Souta acts hostile upon their arrival but initially agrees to sign the retrieval form, claiming Giftia cannot be trusted. Unable to secure a signature due to his attitude, Tsukasa seeks advice from Michiru, who suggests proving Marcia’s genuine affection. The group bakes a cake for Souta’s upcoming birthday with help from Michiru and Zack. Michiru later reveals her past failure to save her father, a Giftia, from becoming a Wanderer. When Souta sees the cake, he recalls his family, apologizes to Marcia, and accepts the retrieval. However, a suspicious man posing as a Terminal Service replacement visits Souta the day before the operation.

May 3, 2015Marcia vanishes after an ambush, prompting Tsukasa and Isla to join Souta in a desperate 24-hour search. The Terminal Service No. 1 team targets a black market retrieval zone but faces obstruction from R. Security. Kazuki obtains a map from supervisor Shinonome after a confrontation. Tsukasa receives a device capable of crashing Giftia functions, while Kazuki reflects on a past failure involving her father. The team loc the black market retriever, who is unconscious, indicating Marcia has become a Wanderer. Kazuki orders the group to stop Marcia before R. Security eliminates her. Tsukasa and Isla track Marcia, discovering Souta has been following them. Marcia injures Isla and kidnaps Souta. On a rooftop, Tsukasa attempts to reason with Marcia, but she attacks Souta upon hearing his name. As Tsukasa prepares to use his device, Isla rushes toward Marcia just as he fires. The episode ends with the revelation that Isla failed to sign the morning attendance log.
