In a coastal desert city, Ash, Pikachu, and their companions encounter Hoopa, a mythical Pokémon capable of conjuring objects, people, and other Pokémon using magical rings. Typically mischievous, Hoopa enjoys playing harmless pranks. However, when its power is unleashed, it transforms into the formidable and uncontrollable Hoopa Unbound. In the past, a hero halted its destructive force by sealing it inside a special bottle. The bottle has now been found, forcing Hoopa to face its deepest fear.
