Takemitsu Zamurai

A rounin named Senou Souichirou arrives in the Katagi tenements in Edo on a New Year's morning. The residents are initially wary, with some questioning his humanity due to his unsettling presence. A boy named Kankichi and the local cats notice something unusual about him. Souichirou eventually sells his sword, adopts a bamboo substitute, and becomes a schoolteacher in the neighborhood. For months, life remains calm. However, the peace is disrupted as problems begin to arise around the tenements.
