Naota is a typical sixth-grade student in Japan. After his older brother moves to the U.S. for baseball, he leaves his 17-year-old girlfriend, Mamimi, in charge of his care. She behaves ambiguously toward him, making him uneasy. His life becomes more complicated when he is struck by a woman riding a Vespa. She hits him with her guitar, causing a horn to sprout from his forehead. She introduces herself as Haruko, and her arrival intensifies the chaos in Naota's life.
