Daigo's Dream

Daigo Shigeno had always dreamed of becoming a great baseball player just like his father and retired major leaguer, Goro Shigeno. He eventually joined the Mifune Dolphins, only to be despaired by the results of his mediocre progress. Feeling unable to reach the heights just like his father, Daigo gives up on baseball entirely with no motivation or goal in his life. 2 years later, a new transfer student from America arrives where the crossroads of destiny begins to turn again for Daigo. If I Wasn't the Second

Hikaru Sato introduced himself to Daigo Shigeno and Mutsuko Sakura as the son of Sato Toshiya. Not knowing that Daigo Shigeno had already quit the baseball team and wanted to join the baseball team of Daigo Shigeno. Instead, Mutsuko Sakura asked Daigo to introduce Sato to the Dolphins, the team he used to play in. After Daigo walked Sakura home, it was revealed that Daigo quitted the team as he thought he looked like a loser and couldn't play baseball as freely as he wanted, given that he is the renowned Goro's son. In exchange for getting a new console from his mom, Daigo was forced to play in the Dolphins again.
