Although Cesar keeps her company, he forces her to do a rainy-day laundry run in addition to the usual grocery shopping. Sara visits the dress shop where she found her doll, whose proprietor remembers her and agrees to help; while she cleans Lavinia's dress, Sara is horrified to discover that the only thing to be had in Covent Garden is pneumonia.
