三位女孩——Hikaru、Umi與Fuu——在參觀東京塔時，被帶往一個名叫Cephiro的魔法世界。那裡她們遇見了大魔導師Clef，他告訴她們被召喚來成為傳說中的魔法騎士，以拯救Cephiro。女孩們起初不願接受，只想回家。Clef告訴她們，必須尋找三位Runes God才能擊敗敵人，並分別給予她們盔甲與魔法能力。她們得知大祭司Zagato已經綁架了Cephiro的支柱Princess Emeraude，而她的祈禱維繫著這個世界的平衡。若失去她，Cephiro將會崩潰。女孩們必須與Zagato的部隊戰鬥，並尋找Runes God，以拯救世界並返回家園。在戰鬥的過程中，她們逐漸依靠彼此的友誼與忠誠，共同面對即將崩壞的Cephiro。
