Kidou Senkan Nadesico

Akito prefers cooking over piloting mechas, despite growing up watching the anime Gekiganger 3. After his home on Mars is destroyed and he is suddenly transported to Earth, he seeks answers by following a girl named Yurika, who captains the private battleship Nadesico. To join her, he enlists as the ship’s cook. Equipped with nanite implants that allow mecha control, he occasionally serves as a backup pilot. The crew, seemingly a mix of misfits and enthusiasts, is actually composed of selected specialists. They travel to Mars to pursue revenge, confronting the difficult truth that real life differs from the fantasy of giant robot series.
