Ein Kriegertrupp, bekannt als die Sternenkrieger, verteidigt die Göttin Athene. Seiya, ein Waisenkind, ist dazu bestimmt, zum Pegasus-Ritter zu werden. Athene ist wiedergeboren worden, doch eine Prophezeiung warnt vor ihrer Niederlage durch Poseidon und Hades, was zur Zerstörung der Menschheit führen würde.
