Ayanami controls Mikage to fight Teito, whose collar nearly bursts as he unleashes Zaiphon. Ayanami binds him with Binding-Zaiphon until Frau arrives, recognized as the Seven Ghost Zehel. Frau severs the threads and engages Ayanami, who pushes away a scythe, damaging a wing. Ayanami releases Mikage, whose body shatters and vanishes as feathers fall. Teito rushes to the fading figure before Frau takes him to his dorm. Memories of their friendship surface. Later, Teito notices a small pet near him, revealed to be Mikage’s reincarnation. Frau attempts to remove Teito’s collar but instead forms a pact, becoming his master. The episode concludes with this new dynamic established between the two characters.
