Curious about his past and the Raggs Kingdom, Teito enters the Library but finds a hidden porn magazine instead. Castor then explains the history of the Raggs war, prompting Teito to seek the truth. Meanwhile, at the Academy, Mikage faces interrogation by Ayanami regarding his role in Teito’s escape. When Mikage remains silent, Ayanami presents him with a difficult ultimatum: choose between protecting his treasured family or saving Teito.

After freeing the Kor from the old man’s spirit and removing the symbol from Teito’s chest, Frau explains that Kor manipulate desires, granting wishes only to trap hosts in endless dissatisfaction and darkness. Meanwhile, at the Academy, Mikage decides not to betray his best friend, causing an enraged Ayanami to unleash a surge of Zaiphon at him.

Teito fights the creature but fails to harm it until Frau appears and cleanses the man's soul from the Kor. Later that night, Teito shares his connection to the Raggs Kingdom with Mikage.

May 12, 2009During the Church's annual bazaar, Teito and Mikage visit shops run by bishops, including Labrador’s candy store, Castor’s doll clothes, and Frau’s meat stall. After tasting Frau’s meat, Teito grows suspicious of Mikage’s secrecy. At the entrance, Mikage assists a girl bearing the Kor marking, but she transforms and attacks him. Teito intervenes to save Mikage, yet the Kor captures the bishop. As the creature prepares to kill him, the Eye of Mikhail activates, blinding the attacker. Frau arrives to defeat the Kor, causing Teito to lose consciousness. Upon waking, Teito and Mikage converse while the bishops observe them, deepening the tension between the two.

The ensuing battle leaves Teito injured, forcing him to flee with assistance from Castor’s doll. At the main Church, Castor and Frau detect the disturbance and the arrival of a half Kor. Teito is soon captured by Ayanami, who places a restraining collar on him. Desperate to save Mikage, Teito attempts suicide but loses consciousness. A guardian then appears in a flash of light, revealing Teito’s eyes to be blood red. Ayanami watches in surprise as Teito asks, “Who are you to hurt my master?”

Later, the bishops present Frau with a plant, which she gardens to honor Bishop Bastian, who was reborn as a tree after falling into darkness. The second exam requires facing inner daemons in a room. Both succeed, with Hakuren defeating a giant Wars and Teito confronting his greatest enemy, Ayanami, in person.
