A giant monster appears to be terrorizing Japanese streets, but Unit 8 discovers it is merely a holographic projection. Suspecting one of Sena's favorite directors is responsible, Sena aims to exonerate the man. To prevent the illusion from destroying half the city, Sena requires significant amounts of chaff. This necessity forces him to contact his ex-girlfriend, who serves in the Unified Self Defense Forces. Sena must navigate this difficult interaction, as his former partner may prove more intimidating than the holographic threat itself. The situation escalates as Sena works to resolve the crisis while managing the complex dynamics with his ex.
