Following her departure from the OTM Girls, Retsuko settles into a new apartment, with Haida providing daily escorts for her protection. Concurrently, the company suffers significant losses resulting from a failed amusement park initiative that was rejected by Washimi and the new external director, Himuro. In the office, Ton nears his 30th anniversary as the accounting department's director, prompting Retsuko to search for an appropriate commemorative gift. Meanwhile, Fenneko orchestrates a scheme to arrange a date between Haida and Retsuko by feigning a need for assistance. However, Haida becomes intimidated by Retsuko's existing connections with Tadano and Manaka, leading him to fabricate an excuse to depart the situation prematurely.
