Haida discovers his girlfriend left him due to his lack of career progress. While drinking with Fenneko, Retsuko expresses frustration over Haida’s hesitation to pursue a romantic relationship with her. Himuro invites them to dinner to apologize for splashing them with a puddle, leading the intoxicated group to complain about Ton. Retsuko later consults Manaka, who suggests she and Haida are incompatible. The following day, Haida drops Retsuko off, and she informs him that he no longer needs to do so, preferring they remain friends. Utilizing Retsuko's feedback, Himuro transfers Ton to the career experience design department, relocating his office to an isolated storage room separate from the main company building.
