Haida assists the collapsed company president near the river and takes him to the hospital. Consequently, Retsuko realizes Haida lied the previous night and feels disappointed. Later, Haida tells Fenneko he feels too ordinary for a relationship with Retsuko, citing her past with Tadano and her idol career as reasons. The following morning, Retsuko and Haida learn that Himuro has been selected as the president's successor to serve as the company's new CEO.
