As the Revolutionary Army nears the capital and citizens rebel, Kurome challenges Akame to a duel, aware her time is short. Tatsumi tries to stop her, but she leaves to confront her sister. Kurome voices her resentment over being abandoned when Akame joined Night Raid. Their fight is interrupted by a giant danger beast, which they defeat together before resuming their battle. Wave attempts to help Kurome, but Tatsumi intervenes to prevent interference. Akame ultimately kills Kurome. Wave takes her body away while Akame mourns. Simultaneously, the Revolutionary Army surrounds the capital, prompting the prime minister to order the Emperor to activate the Ultimate Imperial Arm to halt the revolution.
